Corporate leaders from across the country attended a leadership conference hosted by the Fuqua School of Business this past week. The conference, which cost participants $1600 a ticket, included fifteen guest lecturers, a gala dinner, and access to a basketball practice. Did the participants get to sleep in tents, too?
2. Duke recruiting surge is turning heads
These writers may be going too far in saying “Duke matters again,” but there is no contesting that the quality of incoming recruits has BIG implications for next season.
3. Duke, UNC tie in ACC preseason prediction
Duke and UNC each received 545 votes to win the ACC, but the rest of the field looked like a toss up. Unless you ask Greivis Vasquez, who announced he thinks Maryland can win the league. One thing is clear—Vasquez will not be the preseason player of the year—that title was given to Kyle Singler.
Citing his Olympic experience, Coach K says his “shelf life” has increased.

Duke held Pfeiffer to 24.3% shooting and led by 41 at the half during the Parents’ Weekend exhibition game Saturday night. Preceded earlier in the day by a Duke football victory over Maryland, it may have been the perfect weekend for Harrison Barnes’ official visit.
